To the Moon and Back

SpaceX has announced that it will fly two tourists around the moon in 2018.

SpaceX's Dragon Model, which will be used as transport for the two tourists.

In a move that has space enthusiasts in throes of elation, Elon Musk's SpaceX has announced their approved flight around the moon for two lucky tourists. In 2016 the FAA approved regulations allowing for tourism past the reaches of earth's atmosphere and beyond. SpaceX, leading the industry in privatized space travel, has taken the first steps for the infantile industry.

Now, what exactly does this mean for us? It means two things. This move will kickstart the privatization of the stars, and will cause many investors to throw their influence into juvenile space companies who want to make a name for themselves. And secondly, this move will have ramifications within the political geospheres of the world.

When SpaceX proves they are successful in their first tourist flight, it will show their competitors that they are just as able to do the same. Competition between these private space companies results in the creation of a new frontier to invest in; the Final Frontier. This healthy competition between companies will be the catalyst for a great expansion into space travel and exploration, as well as a whole new economic market for investors to tap into.

This move will also be seen as a challenge to countries who take great pride in their space programs. As governments begin to see their space programs being left in the dust by private companies, they will be spurred to action by their representatives to revitalize the once great Space Race.

Ever since our evolution humanity has always looked to the stars with wonder. We were born to leave this rock floating through time and to forge out paths among the stars. This move by SpaceX is the first stepping stone on our great journey to explore the stars, and sets us on the path towards greatness.
